Ogallala Farm (4039 Ogallala Rd, Longmont, CO) is approximately 20 minutes south of downtown Longmont, 20 minutes north of downtown Boulder, and 45 minutes north of downtown Denver. There will be parking for roughly 20-30 cars in the closest dirt parking lot, with possible additional parking further down the road if necessary.
We highly recommend renting a car so you can explore all that Colorado has to offer!
Easily accessible (there are plenty of Uber/Lyft drivers in both Boulder and Longmont), but may be expensive depending on distance - Ogallala Farm is truly out in the wild of Boulder County.
If you would like to spend some time in downtown Denver, or maybe avoid some airport surcharges on the Uber ride from DIA, the A-Line of the RTD Lightrail will take you directly from the airport to Denver's Union Station. Other lines can get you around the city, but be warned: there are no good public transit options that will get you out of Denver towards Longmont.
We've reserved a room block at the Hyatt Place Boulder/Pearl Street in downtown Boulder, CO to ensure that there is enough space for everybody to stay there should they want to. HOWEVER: you are certainly not obligated to stay here if you do not wish. If you would like to get an AirBnb - great! If you would like to stay with friends/family in the NoCo area - great! Our goal is to make things as easy for everybody as possible while keeping everyone's options open. A link to the Hyatt Place Boulder's website can be found here. When making your booking, mention that you are booking with our hotel block.
You are also more than welcome to book a room at a different hotel if you wish. In general, Longmont tends to be slightly cheaper, but Boulder tends to be slightly cooler. If you would like other cool hotels to stay at in the Boulder area, we suggest checking out the Hotel Boulderado, as it is a historic upscale hotel in the heart of Boulder.
Book soon. We recommend booking as soon as you know you're coming.
Coordinate with friends. Many rentals in the area have great spaces for groups, so get a house for your group to save some money (and maximize fun!).
Stay the whole weekend. We know you're super busy, but we'd love for you to be there the whole time if possible. If you can, book a place for Friday through Sunday and get in as much wonderful time in Colorado as you can.
Longmont sits perfectly in the middle of Colorado's Front Range, and is about 45 minutes south of Fort Collins/Loveland and 45 minutes north of Denver. Additionally, Longmont is just 20 minutes from the cute, picturesque city of Boulder, which sits directly at the feet of the Flatirons and acts as a gateway to some of the smaller mountain towns in the region, like Nederland and Estes Park.
Take a drive into the mountains! The best nearby towns include Nederland and Estes Park, but if you're willing to drive down through Denver and west on I-70, you open up places like Golden, Idaho Springs, Breckenridge, and even Aspen and Vail!
Colorado is a state of people who love (to say that they love) the outdoors - and those that capitalize on that aren't wrong! There are so many opportunities for hiking, nature walking, and rock climbing in the area that it's impossible to name them all.
Want some time in the city? Boulder and Denver are your places to be! As a college town, Boulder is a blend of suburban and urban with enough places to park but also lots to do (especially on Pearl Street). Denver and it's suburbs on the other hand have almost endless activities, from museums (try Meow Wolf if you're feeling weird) to shopping Cherry Creek, you can stay busy forever!
Breakfast/Brunch at The Buff, Snooze, or Lucile's (all in Boulder)
Lunch/Dinner at Aloy Thai, Avanti Food Hall, and Pupusas Lover II (all in Boulder) are all winners in our books, but it's difficult to go wrong with a lot of the food in the area. There are plenty of great restaurants up towards Longmont as well, such as The Post Chicken + Beer.
As a bonus: The Cheese Importers in Longmont. It's a store that sells cheese - need we say more?
This is Colorado, which means - breweries galore! Close your eyes and throw a dart at a map, and you're certainly not more than a mile from a brewery. Some of our favorites are Rayback in Boulder and the Lowry Beer Garden (not technically a brewery) in eastern Denver, but other classics include Left Hand Brewing in Longmont and Avery Brewing in Boulder.
